"In October 2023 I was diagnosed with a rare salivary gland cancer, Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma. ACC only makes up 1% of all head and neck cancers. Since it is so rare, there isn't much data on risk factors or the management of advanced disease. It was one of the most challenging times in my life. I knew from the start I would get through it and be fine, but with having young children to take care of, it was absolutely heartbreaking."
