VIRTUAL | 3rd Annual Brave Like Gabe 5K

REGISTER FOR THE ANNUAL BRAVE LIKE GABE 5K

Join us virtually for the 3rd Annual Brave Like Gabe 5k in September virtually to raise funds for rare cancer research. Given the current circumstances surrounding COVID and after careful deliberation, we decided to move our in-person race in September to a virtual race to prioritize the health and safety of our community.

And, we hope you join us in #runningonhope the weekend of September 6th from wherever you are!

Gabe Grunewald-- pro-runner, rare cancer advocate, and founder of the Brave Like Gabe Foundation-- passed away in June 2019 from Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma (ACC). Her legacy with the foundation continues to inspire people to keep #runningonhope while also working to find better, more effective treatments for ACC and other types of rare cancers.

Each year in the US, an average of 1,224 people are newly diagnosed with ACC, a rare and incurable cancer. Even with these challenging circumstances, we hope to double the impact of last year's #1224 campaign by reaching our goal of more than 2,448 runners this year. Proceeds for this event will be donated to the Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma Research Foundation (ACCRF) to support research studies of how the immune system might better recognize and attack ACC tumor cell.

"We run on hope. We run for research. We are not giving up." - Gabe Grunewald
