6th Annual Brave Like Gabe 5K

Runners in St. Paul and all over the world gathered on September 9th to support the 6th Annual Brave Like Gabe 5K…

It was a beautiful day to raise money for rare cancer research! The Brave Like Gabe Foundation hosted the 6th Annual Brave Like Gabe 5K at Como Regional Park in St. Paul Minnesota. Additionally, all over the world, participants ran their 5K virtually and at select Pop Up locations. We received so many selfies, group photos, and videos documenting the day. The day's activities in St. Paul included a kid-friendly Abby's Run named in honor of Abigail Anderson, pediatric nurse and advocate of the foundation, 5K around Como Lake, and inspiring messages from Executive Director, Alyssa Hawkins and Board Member, Justin Grunewald. The proceeds from this year's event will be put towards a grant to the Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma Research Foundation.

It was easy to feel the collective hope and joy surrounding the event. As a result of the 2023 race proceeds, we are proud to announce the $65,000 grant heading to the Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma Foundation to further ACC research.
