CANCELLED: Grandmas Marathon Events in Duluth, MN

We are sad to share this news, but we were informed that Grandma's Marathon Race Weekend is cancelled for 2020.

We are so proud of all (116+ runners!) of your efforts to share hope while raising funds for rare cancer research.  And, while we were bummed to find out today that the race is cancelled, we also recognize and want to prioritize the need to keep our community safe.

We've been following this group of runners and have seen your hope and positivity shine. We also know this group of charity runners is capable of making something beautiful and powerful out of a bad situation.

Grandma's is not offering a refund or deferment, but is providing the following options for charity runners which are shared below:

• Grandma’s 2020 Virtual Race:  If you have registered for Grandma’s 2020, you don’t need to change anything on your registration. You will be automatically switched to the virtual version of your event and be able to participate in a way that is both fun and safe, wherever you live. More details will be provided to all registered participants via email. If you are unsure if you are registered or need registration details from us, please email info@bravelikegabe.org.

• Grandma’s 2021 Race Discount: Grandma's will provide discounts toward the 2021 Grandma’s Marathon Weekend Race of your choice: $25 to current Grandma’s Marathon registrants; $20 to current Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon registrants and $10 to current William A. Irvin 5K registrants. Promo code and instructions for redeeming the discount will be emailed to you in September 2020. 

All charity runners wishing to participate in the Grandma’s 2020 Virtual Race or receive a Grandma’s 2021 Race Discount must be registered by May 1, 2020.
